Thank you for your trust in Bancroft
The safety and well-being of those we serve, our staff and their families are our number one priority. During this time of uncertainty related to the Coronavirus, we will utilize our website, email and social media channels for any emerging updates as warranted.
As we continue to monitor COVID and the increase in the Delta variant in our region, we will keep you updated on the preventative measures being taken and any changes to program operations.
We are in constant contact with local and state agencies in NJ, PA and DE to gain insight and best practices as new cases of the virus are reported. We are working with program leaders and staff to implement precautionary measures and continue cleanliness education in all locations and group homes.
Please check your email often for updates. If you are not receiving emails and have a loved one in one of our programs, please email info@bancroft.org.
General Updates
New Jersey and Delaware have issued mandates requiring the COVID-19 vaccine or weekly testing for those working in healthcare facilities and congregate-care settings. Bancroft is included in this mandate.
Under this mandate, all Bancroft staff working in a New Jersey or Delaware program or office location are required to be fully vaccinated by Sept. 7, or submit to COVID testing at least once per week. Currently, all employees working in or visiting any of our programs are required to wear surgical masks at all times regardless of vaccination status.
Updates by Program
The last guidance from the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) stated that all day programs were able to reopen regardless of the CALI index so long as they met the re-opening requirements.
Please note: Due to ongoing staffing challenges, we may not be able to fully open our Day Programs immediately. If you have a loved one in one of our Day Programs, you can reach out directly to your program manager for Day Program scheduling.
The Bancroft School Welsh Campus and the Preschool & Early Education Program are currently in person for ESY.
Families who wish to do so may opt to continue learning remotely full-time; hybrid learning is no longer an option. For more information please contact your school leadership.
Group hopes remain fully operational, with family visitation rules in place
Outpatient services are available however, masks are still required for all patients and staff. Telehealth appointments are available.
Bancroft administrative offices are open between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
