Nicole Peniston, Psy.D.

Rehabilitation Psychologist

Dr. Nicole Peniston, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College, part of the City University of New York. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate of Psychology from Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology. She completed an APA-accredited internship through Widener University with the State of Delaware Department of Prevention and Behavioral Health Services Consultation and Assessment Unit. Dr. Peniston completed two years of postdoctoral work completing forensic clinical, risk, and neuropsychological assessment in private practice, working largely with children and adolescents. She then worked for three years at a children’s rehabilitation hospital as a licensed psychologist, completing outpatient educational, psychological, and autism assessments in addition to individual and group psychotherapy for children with Autism, ADHD, Amplified Pain Syndrome, anxiety, depression, and a variety of other emotional and behavioral concerns. Dr. Peniston worked one year in private practice with adults and children, addressing similar diagnoses, before joining the team at Bancroft NeuroRehab. At Bancroft NeuroRehab, Dr. Peniston provides psychological services to residential and day program clients, as well as outpatients with a history of acquired brain injury or other neurological and psychological conditions.
