Poornima Katakam

Poornima Katakam has worked as a Physical Therapist since 1995, with experience in various settings, including acute care, acute rehab, subacute rehab, outpatient and home care. She completed her Bachelor of Physical Therapy while living in India, and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She enjoys staying up-to-date on developments in physical therapy research and applying that knowledge to treat patients using an evidence-based approach. Her experience includes treatment of geriatric patients with various Neurologic, Orthopedic and Cardiovascular diagnoses. She has taken specialized courses on stroke rehabilitation, the NIH Stroke Scale, low vision rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and received her LSVT BIG certification.
